Spooky Medicine Bottles + Printalbe Bottle Labels
I love decorating for the holidays, however I am very picky with my decor. I don't want it to look tacky or too cartoony. It really makes a difference for me to make my own handmade decorations. Hence the reason I created these Spooky Medicine Bottles. Gather up those empty bottles and your Mod Podge for this super easy Halloween project.
1. Clean out your bottles with soap and water. Make sure to get the labels off and get the outside nice and clean.
2. With your acrylic paint and sponge brush, sponge your paint onto the bottles. This will take a few coats. I used plain black, but I also used a metallic gold. I sponged the gold onto the bottle, let it dry and then sponged a little bit of black onto the bottle and wiped it onto the bottle to create a weathered look.
3. Once the bottles are dry, cut out your bottle labels. I have created some and you can download them here. Brush your Mod Podge onto the bottle and place your label down. Mod Podge over the label and bottle. Allow it to dry completely.
Voila! I created a mixture of my gold and Halloween bottles to adorn the top of my piano. I thought it turned out lovely. Do you like my bleeding candles? We will be showing you how to make those later on in the month. Have a great day! Love, Lynn.
