Love Letters

Hello readers! Since today is St. Valentine's Day we decided to give a little shout out to our valentines. I hope you don't mind our mushy love letters. These men in our lives put up with all of our blogging madness and we figured it was about time to send them a shout out via the blogosphere. And what day is better then then day of love?

Four years ago I met the love of my life, and my life has been forever changed...
You make me smile every morning, evening and all of the time. I love the way you can immediately change my bad mood by simply smiling at me with your big blue eyes and kissing my forehead. I love waking up every morning to your rambunctious 5-year old antics, even though I am not a morning person at all. I love that the perfect date night with you consists of neighborhood take-out, a picnic blanket on the living room floor and a board game. I love how passionate you are, even if that passion is geared towards Monday night football. I love how adventurous you are and that you always find a way to pull me out of my comfort zone. I love that even though I know it drives you crazy, you laugh at all of my messiness and embrace all of my imperfections. And I love that as you are reading this I know you are both embarrassed and thinking "that's right, I AM that good." Your confidence is overwhelming and I love that you can be just as humble as you are confident. I love you my dear and I love that I can spend forever with you.

I know we both don’t like this day. I love that you don’t. Why? I think that it’s because you don’t like to be told that you need buy me flowers and candy to justify how much you love me. I know that you show me in more effective and lasting ways how much you love me. It is not in flowers, chocolate, candy or things for that matter. It is in words and actions.

You told me once that you wanted to be my biggest cheerleader. You have been. I know that if I am ever down, feeling inadequate, or at times a failure, you help me stand back up and continue to pursue my dreams. Thanks to you, I have had a greater understanding of my potential as a woman, as a spouse, as a friend, as a future mother, and as a Christian.

I thank the Lord everyday that you are mine. He has been so gracious to me, by giving me you. You are everything that I needed in a spouse. And the fact that you look like a young Harrison Ford is a great perk. Thanks for being the greatest person I know and my dream come true.
