The New Valentines Day Mantle

So guess what everyone, Valentines Day is two weeks from tomorrow and I am so excited about it. I have a love/hate relationship with Valentines Day. While I adore the opportunity to share a little bit of extra love with those close to you, I think that we should treat every day like Valentine's Day and always showcase our love for people. However, I am never one to pass up a nice bouquet of peonies. (Hint... Hint...Mr. Ryan) With all of that said, I thought it was time to share my newest holiday mantle with all of you.

I am always one to look for deals and try not to spend too much around the holidays, but I still think it is important to showcase the special holidays of the year. I think that it really helps us get through those dreary months of winter. So as to not break the bank I try to focus on incorporating pieces that I already have and add a few little extras. I spent less then $5 on this mantle simply by moving my other nik naks around a little bit. The jute wrapped bottles and "Be Mine Forever" canvas art were especially fun for me to incorporate.

And as a special note to all of our Lynn and Lou readers, we have an extra special post for all of you tomorrow. Lynn has been working on a project for a few days and we will be releasing it. Also, Lynn and Lou now has an updated Instagram (Username: lynnandloublog) , Facebook page, and Pinterest Page. As a follower, you will be the first to know about important happenings and receive even more daily inspiration. And don't forget that followers have extra chances to win in any of our giveaways. So definitely check it out. Lou!

  1. What a DARLING mantle! I love it! I never quite know if I should decorate the house for Valentine's Day, but I love all the subtle hints of LOVE you've incorporated here. :) And I agree - we should treat way more days like Valentine's Day and the world would be a much happier (and more loving) place!

  27. You have created such a lovely mantle! I used to really dislike Valentine's Day and my now-fiance and I didn't celebrate Valentine's Day for the first few years we were together. We slowly delved into the holiday and this year, I seem to be all about it. I have no idea where this pro-Valentine's Day mindset has come from, and I have been planning the day for about a week now, with a surprise breakfast and the perfect at-home dinner and what sort of gift I should get for him. I'm just all about it!
