Happy Monday readers! I hope you all had the chance to relax this weekend. Remember on Friday how I said I saw a hot cup of chocolate and good book in my future... Well that might have happened, three or four times, this weekend. Except it wasn't a book, it was Netflix with the Mr. It was beautiful and snowy and the couch was calling our name.
But before we enjoyed the hot chocolate and warm fireplace we practically froze in the beautiful snow outside. Garrett had all of his classes and work cancelled on Friday because of the four feet of snow outside and whats a better way to enjoy the snow then the play in it? Since it was this California girls very first snow day I simply had to document.
We started off by shoveling some of the neighbors driveways and throwing all the shoveled snow at each other in a big snowball fight.
Then we went tubing throughout the neighborhood behind the Xterra. Which is probably my new favorite snow time activity.
We made an igloo in the front yard, Garrett had fun teaching me the how-to's of making the perfect snow fort. It wasn't very big inside so it was funny trying to get our whole bodies in without kicking the entire thing down.
Needless to say it was an extra special day, and one that I will never forget. It is days like this that make living in the bitter cold so worth it. I cant wait for our next snow day. Have you ever had a snow day? What did you enjoy doing? I am always looking for ideas for next time.
xx. Lou

This is so cute! It didn't know THAT much in Orem plus I was barricaded by choice inside with the baby so I didn't get out much. I've never had an actual snow day but if I did I'd want to do snow angels! This looks like so much fun!!
ReplyDeleteI get so much snow in New York I'm so used to it! I can't imagine how much fun it is when it's your first snow day ever!! Keep warm, drink hot cocoa, and enjoy it!! =)

So much fun! It was snowy here a few weekends ago, but my boyfriend forgot his snow shoes so we couldn't play in the snow. There's always next time, right?
ReplyDeleteOoo, that iglu is really great. Have a nice day.

The igloo photo made me laugh out loud. I remember spending ALL DAY as a kid making those. I've always just wanted to be a ground hog. :)
